Why feed Slippery Elm? Slippery Elm is a versatile herbal supplement rich in mucilage, making it highly soothing to the digestive tract and therefore, easy to digest.

When ingested, it forms a gel-like consistency that coats the digestive tract, providing support for horses with gastric or colonic issues, colic, and ulcers. This natural digestive support helps bind droppings, neutralise acids, promotes healthy bacterial balance in the hindgut and supports normal urinary and respiratory function.

Externally, Slippery Elm is a natural antiseptic and can be mixed with warm water to create a poultice, which can help reduce inflammation, draw out toxins, and support healing.

This can be mixed with your horses daily feed at the following amounts:

Small Horse (Under 450kg) - 10g per day, this can be split between feeds or given at once

Large Horse (450kg+) - 20g per day, this can be split between feeds or given at once
